The San Francisco Giants activated outfielder Marquis Grissom off the 15-day disabled list prior to Sunday's game against the Florida Marlins. Grissom, though, did not play in the 4-1 loss. Grissom had been sidelined since June 14 with a partially torn left hamstring. The veteran is hitting .211 with two homers and 14 runs batted in this season. San Francisco also placed outfielder Alex Sanchez on the 15-day disabled list with a left elbow sprain. Sanchez, who is batting .256 with three RBI in 19 games this season, was claimed off waivers from the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
