Chicago Cubs third baseman Aramis Ramirez and Florida Marlins outfielder Miguel Cabrera have been named co-winners of the National League Player of the Week award for July 18-24.
Ramirez had a league-leading six homers as well as 11 RBI and 34 total bases last week, and he had 14 hits.
Cabrera led the league with a .522 (12-23) batting average and a 1.261 slugging percentage. He had five home runs, nine RBI, nine runs scored and 29 total bases.
Other nominees included Atlanta's Andruw Jones, Houston's Lance Berkman and Roy Oswalt, and the Cubs' Derrek Lee.
