The New England Patriots signed first-round draft pick Logan Mankins on Monday. Terms of the offensive lineman's contract were not disclosed.
Mankins, who was selected by the Super Bowl champions with the final pick in the first round, became the last of seven Patriots draft picks to sign with the team.
The 6-foot-4, 307-pound lineman is also the first 2005 first-round pick to sign a contract with their team.
At Fresno State, Mankins became the first offensive lineman in school history to earn team MVP honors after he produced 16 touchdown-resulting blocks last season without allowing a sack or quarterback pressure.
Mankins started 40 of the 42 games he played while at Fresno State and earned first-team All-Western Athletic Conference honors in his final season. He blocked for Houston Texans quarterback David Carr in 2001.
