The Seattle Mariners activated veteran infielder Dave Hansen from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.
Hansen had been sidelined with tendinitis in his left elbow since July 2. The 36-year-old is batting .194 (6-for-31) in 25 games this year and is a career .262 hitter in 15 major-league seasons with the Dodgers, Cubs, Padres and Mariners.
To make room on the active roster, Seattle optioned outfielder Chris Snelling to Triple-A Tacoma.
