Atlanta Braves lefthander Mike Hampton was placed on the 15-day disabled list for the third time this season after sustaining a back injury last week. Hampton spent time on the disabled list earlier this season with a strained left forearm. The lefthander missed his scheduled start Saturday after straining his back getting out of the hot tub at the SBC weight room last week when the Braves were in San Francisco. So far this season, Hampton is 4-2 with a 2.51 earned run average in 10 starts. Braves catcher Johnny Estrada has been also experiencing back pain, but he is not expected to land on the DL. The back spasms have plagued Estrada since the Angels Darin Erstad collided with him at the plate in a June 6 contest. Estrada last played in Saturday's game at Arizona, but was forced to leave that contest and has missed two straight games since then. He is hitting .261 with three homers and 33 RBI this season.
