Browns tight end Kellen Winslow had an MRI this week to find out the magnitude of his injured right knee suffered in a recent motorcycle accident.
According to the team, results of the MRI could come as early as Wednesday. Doctors had been waiting for the swelling in the knee to subside before performing any tests.
The 21-year-old Winslow was released from the Cleveland Clinic on May 10 after being hospitalized nine days for injuries sustained in the accident. Winslow, fresh off an injured rookie season with the Browns, was riding a motorcycle when he apparently hit a curb and was thrown from the bike. He suffered internal injuries and hurt his right knee.
Winslow, the sixth overall pick in the 2004 draft out of Miami-Florida, had his rookie season cut short after suffering a broken right leg in a Week 2 loss at Dallas. Winslow finished the 2004 campaign with just five catches for 50 yards.
