The Kansas City Chiefs have come to terms on a one-year contract with free agent cornerback Dewayne Washington.
The 32-year-old Washington has played in 175 games (170 starts) in his NFL career, recording 829 tackles, a sack and 31 interceptions. He started all 16 games for Jacksonville last season and intercepted two passes.
Washington started his NFL career with Minnesota (1994-97) and then spent six seasons (1998-2003) with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Chiefs also agreed on a one-year deal with free agent linebacker Dave Moretti. He played in 10 games for the Cologne Centurions of NFL Europe this year.
