The New York Islanders signed veteran goaltender Garth Snow to a new three-year contract on Friday.
The 36-year-old netminder has been with the Islanders since the summer of 2001 when he signed as a free agent.
"Garth has been an excellent goaltender for us the last three seasons and has been a true professional every step of the way," said Isles general manager Mike Milbury. "We're very happy he'll be back with us for the long term."
Snow went 14-15-5 with a 2.80 goals-against average in 39 games for the Islanders in 2003-04. He is 40-39-12 during his New York career.
Overall, Snow has appeared in 348 NHL games with Quebec, Philadelphia, Vancouver, Pittsburgh and New York. He is 131-134-43 with a 2.74 GAA and .902 save percentage during his NHL tenure.
The Islanders also announced that they have extended qualifying offers to all of their restricted free agents. Among the players receiving qualifiers are Mark Parrish, Trent Hunter, Shawn Bates, Rick DiPietro, Oleg Kvasha, Mattias Weinhandl, Arron Asham, Justin Mapletoft, Eric Godard and Justin Papineau.
