Tennessee Titans starting running back Chris Brown suffered a broken right hand during the team's minicamp this week.
Brown will miss the rest of the Titans' workouts in May, but should be ready for training camp in late July.
"I guess he was running and hit somebody's helmet with the back of his hand," Tennessee head coach Jeff Fisher said on the team's website.
The 24-year-old Brown, who missed five games last season because of various injuries, ran for 1,067 yards and six touchdowns in 2004. He took over the starting duties when veteran RB Eddie George was released last summer.
Brown had an excellent start to the 2004 campaign, becoming just the second player in NFL history to rush for 100 yards or more in each of his first three starts.
Tennessee drafted the Colorado product in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Brown has 1,288 yards on 276 carries in his young career.
