Wilson Delgado has been suspended for 30 games by Major League Baseball, effective Friday, for violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
Delgado, who was playing for the Florida Marlins' Triple-A affiliate in Albuquerque, was also suspended for 15 games for a violation back in May.
He was batting .285 with six homers and 37 RBI in 98 games for the Isotopes.
A native of San Cristobal, Dominican Republic, Delgado last played in the majors in 2004 as an infielder for the New York Mets. He participated in 42 games and batted .292 with two homers.
The journeyman Delgado is a lifetime .251 hitter over nine major league campaigns with six different clubs.
