The Vancouver Canucks re-signed defenseman Sami Salo to a two-year contract Monday.
The 30-year-old Salo had seven goals and 19 assists in 74 games during the 2003-04 season.
"Sami is an excellent NHL defenseman and adds a lot of depth and strength to our blueline," said Canucks general manager Dave Nonis. "He doesn't get the same notoriety as some of our other defensemen, but Sami is an important ingredient in our team and a critical member of our back-end."
The Canucks also inked defenseman Bryan Allen and forward Jason King to one- year deals.
