French crowd favorite Nathalie Dechy highlighted Thursday's quarterfinal winners at the $170,000 Strasbourg International.
The top-seeded Dechy outlasted fellow Frenchwoman Stephanie Cohen-Aloro 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 on the red clay at Ligue d'Alsace de Tennis.
Dechy's semifinal opponent on Friday will be Spaniard Anabel Medina Garrigues, a 6-7 (2-7), 7-5, 6-1 come-from-behind winner against Russian Vera Douchevina on Day 4.
In other quarterfinal action, Madagascar's Dally Randriantefy toppled sixth- seeded Croat Karolina Sprem 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 and Poland's Marta Domachowska overcame Chinese Shuai Peng 4-6, 7-5, 6-2. Randriantefy and Domachowska will square off in the other semi here.
The winner of this final French Open tuneup will collect $27,000.
