The Florida Panthers signed veteran forward Jozef Stumpel to a two-year contract on Wednesday.
"Jozef is another player that adds depth and experience to our team," said Florida general manager Mike Keenan. "He is a proven playmaker who has the ability to play at both ends of the ice. This acquisition gives us flexibility in our line-up as he can play center or on the wing, as well as on our special teams."
The 33-year-old Czech native, who was a second round pick of Boston in 1991, has tallied 151 goals and 397 assists in 758 games with the Bruins and Los Angeles Kings. His best year came during the 1997-98 campaign with the Kings when he recorded a career-best 79 points (21g, 58a)
Stumpel has also represented Slovakia in the Olympics, World Cup and World Championship competition.
