The Milwaukee Brewers activated centerfielder Brady Clark from the 15-day disabled list prior to Friday's 3-1 win over the Atlanta Braves.
The 32-year-old Clark, who had been saddled with bruised ribs since August 11, suffered the injury in a game against St. Louis earlier this month after he collided with Hector Luna while attempting to break up a double play.
He finished Friday's game 1-for-4 with a run scored.
Clark is hitting .310 with nine homers and 40 RBI in 114 games this season. He also has 148 hits, which is sixth in the National League, and has scored 77 runs on the year.
A six-year veteran who had stints with Cincinnati and the New York Mets, Clark is a lifetime .283 hitter with 28 homers and 156 RBI.
In a corresponding move, the Brewers optioned pitcher Justin Lehr to Triple-A Nashville.
