The Chicago Cubs traded outfielder Todd Hollandsworth to the Atlanta Braves on Monday for a pair of minor-league pitchers.
The 32-year-old Hollandsworth is hitting .254 with five home runs and 35 RBI this season. In exchange for the veteran, the Cubs received right-handers Todd Blackford and Angelo Burrows.
Blackford, 20, is 6-5 with a 4.60 earned run average in 27 career games. He has held opponents to a .219 average this year with the Class-A Danville Braves.
Burrows, 25, has split this year between Class-A Rome and Class-A Myrtle Beach, combining for a 4-3 record with three saves and a 3.32 ERA in 30 relief appearances.
