Chicago Cubs first baseman Derrek Lee left Wednesday's 7-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers after fouling a ball off of his left foot.
The injury came while Lee was batting in the fourth inning and the triple- crown candidate left after playing one more inning. He finished the game 0- for-2 with two strike outs and was replaced by Scott McClain.
X-Rays were negative and Lee's status is listed as day-to-day. Lee missed three games in July with shoulder inflammation.
The slugger is having a career year this season as he is currently batting .344 with 39 home runs and 94 RBI in 130 games.
