The Minnesota Twins activated infielder Juan Castro from the 15-day disabled list Friday.
Castro, 33, has been sidelined since August 10 with a strained left knee. He has appeared in 80 games this season for the Twins, batting .258 with four homers and 26 RBI.
Also on Friday, the Twins recalled left-handed pitcher Francisco Liriano and selected the contract of outfielder Jason Tyner from Triple-A Rochester.
