The Philadelphia Phillies activated pitcher Cory Lidle from the 15-day disabled list and he started in Friday's 12-5 win over Florida.
Lidle (10-10), who had been sidelined with a left oblique strain suffered on August 24 against the San Francisco Giants, picked up the win in the series- opener. He sustained the injury while running to first base on a ground ball.
He permitted four runs -- three earned -- on eight hits over five innings, while striking out three and walking one.
