New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter left his team's 7-1 loss to the New York Mets on Saturday with an elbow injury.
Jeter was hit by a pitch from Kris Benson in the sixth inning. He stayed in the game to run the bases, but had to leave when his team took the field. He was replaced by Rey Sanchez.
X-Rays taken were negative, but his status for Sunday's finale is up in the air.
Jeter was not the only star who was forced to leave Saturday's Subway Series, as Mets centerfielder Carlos Beltran left the game in the fifth inning with a strained right quadriceps.
Mets second baseman Kaz Matsui also left the contest in the sixth inning with a strained right trapezoid.
Both Beltran and Matsui are listed as day-to-day.
