Atlanta Braves outfielder Andruw Jones was selected as the National League's Player of the Week for the period of September 5-11.
The current National League leader in both home runs and RBI, Jones hit five homers and added 10 RBI while helping the Braves to a 5-1 record last week. He batted .381 with seven runs scored and a .462 on-base percentage over that span.
Jones also connected on his major league-leading 48th and 49th home runs of the season on Sunday, passing Eddie Mathews and Hank Aaron as the Braves' all- time single-season home run leader.
