The Denver Nuggets announced Tuesday that they have re-signed guard DerMarr Johnson. As per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.
"We're pleased to have D.J. back," said general manager Kiki Vandeweghe. "He played a key role in our success last season and continues to get better."
Johnson averaged 7.1 points and 2.1 rebounds in 71 games last season for Denver. In his four-year career, the Cincinnati product has posted 6.7 points and 2.5 boards.
In other team news, the Nuggets named Mark Warkentien director of player personnel. Warkentien, who has 13 years of experience working in NBA front offices, has also worked with Cleveland, Portland and Seattle.
