Houston Astros pitcher Andy Pettitte will miss his scheduled start on Monday against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field due to tightness in his left forearm.
The Astros are expected to make a roster move on Monday and have not yet announced who will start in Pettitte's place. At this point it is unlikely that Pettitte will need to be placed on the disabled list. Manager Phil Garner believes that rest will be enough for the lefthander.
Pettitte is 2-5 with a 4.11 ERA in nine starts this season. He missed much of last season with elbow problems in the same arm that required surgery.
