Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Carnell "Cadillac" Williams, who is already nursing a sprained foot, now has a hamstring injury and his status for Week 5's game against the New York Jets is uncertain.
"[He] has...a sprained foot and a mild hamstring [injury] that we're a little concerned about," said Tampa Bay head coach Jon Gruden. "We don't know the official degree of the hamstring [injury]."
Gruden went on to say that he and Williams have been "frustrated" with the foot injury. Williams is expected to have a boot placed on his injured foot. It will be removed on Tuesday and Gruden doesn't know if Williams will practice this week.
If Williams is unable to go this week, Michael Pittman and Earnest Graham are expected to take over the running back duties.
Williams had just 13 yards on 11 carries in Week 4's 17-13 win versus Detroit. For the season, the rookie has 447 yards and two touchdowns on 99 attempts.
