Colorado Rockies outfielder Dustan Mohr rejected a minor league assignment and has elected to become a free agent.
The Rockies declined a mutual option and attempted to outright Mohr to Triple- A Colorado Springs, but the 29-year-old refused the assignment.
Mohr appeared in 98 games for the Rockies during the 2005 season and batted .214 with a career-high 17 homers and 38 runs batted in.
In 476 major league games with Minnesota, San Francisco, and Colorado, Mohr has a career average of .252 with 46 homers and 151 RBI.
