Green Bay Packers running back Najeh Davenport will most likely miss the rest of the season with a fractured right ankle.
Davenport, who was starting in place of the inactive Ahman Green, injured the ankle during the first half of the Packers' 52-3 blowout win over the New Orleans Saints. He ended the day with a pair of touchdowns and 54 yards on 12 carries, but will probably be placed on injured reserve, ending his season.
"More than likely the seriousness of this would take away his season this year," said Packers head coach Mike Sherman.
The 6-foot-1, 250-pound back appeared in 11 games for the Packers last season with one start. He registered 359 yards rushing with two touchdowns and is eligible for free agency after this season.
