The Philadelphia Phillies announced that outfielders Pat Burrell and Kenny Lofton each underwent surgery this weekend.
Burrell had a procedure on his right foot that removed a loose body and bone spur, while Lofton had his left knee debrided.
Both players are expected to make a full recovery in time for spring training.
The 29-year-old Burrell smacked 32 homers and had a career-high 117 RBI while hitting .281 in 154 games this past season.
Lofton, 38, played in 110 games and batted .335 with 67 runs scored.
The Phillies, with an 88-74 record, finished one game out of wildcard contention in the National League and two games back of the division-winning Atlanta Braves.
