The Minnesota Twins announced Thursday that outfielder/designated hitter Rondell White has agreed to a one-year contract with a club option for 2007.
Last season, the 33-year-old White batted .313 with 12 home runs and 53 RBI in 97 games, including a career-high 20-game hitting streak, with the Detroit Tigers. White missed a majority of the season with a dislocated shoulder.
White, who broke into the majors in 1993, has played for the Montreal Expos, Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees, San Diego Padres, Kansas City Royals and Detroit Tigers while being named as a National League All-Star in 2003.
In his career, White has hit .289 with 716 runs scored, 187 homers and 710 RBI in 1,337 games.
