The San Francisco Giants recalled righthander Brad Hennessey from Triple-A Fresno prior to Thursday's win over the Houston Astros and placed pitcher Al Levine on the disabled list.
Hennessey, who earned his second victory of the season with six decent innings, allowed three runs on six hits with seven strikeouts and two walks in a 6-3 triumph over the Astros.
San Francisco posted just its third win in nine games.
Levine, meanwhile, is hampered with a neck strain and totes a 7.20 earned run average in five games this season. In 412 career games (seven starts), Levine is 24-33 with a 3.88 ERA and 10 saves.
