Jimmy Vasser won the pole for Saturday's Champ Car race at the Milwaukee Mile. The No.12 PKV Racing driver circled the flat one-mile oval in 21.081 seconds (176.235 m.p.h.). The pole victory was Vasser's first of the season and ninth of his Champ Car career. Starting on the front row with Vasser will be A.J. Allmendinger, who circled the track in 21.109 seconds. Justin Wilson (21.125) and Cristiano da Matta (21.261) will start in row two. Series points leader Bruno Junqueira will not be in the starting lineup. The Brazilian was injured at this year's Indianapolis 500 and may be out for the season. Oriol Servia will pilot Junqueira's No.2 Newman/Haas Racing Lola. The race is set to begin on Saturday at 1 p.m. (edt).
