Minnesota Twins pitcher Juan Rincon was back in the Minnesota bullpen for Friday's 9-6 loss to Texas after serving his 10-day suspension for violating Major League Baseball's new drug policy.
Rincon allowed one run on three hits in 1 1/3 innings of work.
Rincon, a righthanded reliever, has a 2-1 record with a 2.70 earned run average in 13 appearances this season and has been a staple in the bullpen during the Twins' last two American League Central Division titles.
The five-year veteran entered Friday's game with an 18-15 career record and a 3.62 ERA in 161 games, all with the Twins.
Rincon is the third Major League ballplayer, and fifth overall, suspended under the new drug policy. Tampa Bay Devil Ray Alex Sanchez and Colorado Rockie Jorge Piedra were also suspended, while minor leaguers Jamal Strong of the Seattle Mariners and Agustin Montero of the Texas Rangers also violated the policy.
