Duke's Randolph to enter NBA Draft

Duke forward Shavlik Randolph is entering his name in this June's NBA Draft but will not higher an agent. "I support Shavlik 100 percent," Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski said. In 92 career games at Duke, Randolph averaged 6.3 points per game and 4.3 rebounds per contest. A High School McDonald's All-American, the 6-10 forward has struggled at times with the Blue Devils, dealing with injuries throughout his tenure. This past December, Randolph was diagnosed with mononucleosis and missed four games. Following his freshman year, the Raleigh, NC native had surgery on his hip to correct a labral tear and bone spur. He had experienced the injury prior to his enrollment to Duke and after continued loss of motion and discomfort during his freshman season he opted for surgery. Early entrants into the NBA Draft have until June 21 to remove their names from consideration to retain their collegiate eligibility.
