Two-time defending champion Andy Roddick earned a hard-fought win over Radek Stepanek in Saturday's semifinals at The Stella Artois Championships.
The second-seeded American disposed of fourth-seeded Czech Stepanek 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 and is seeking his third straight title here. Only Lleyton Hewitt and John McEnroe have won this event three years in a row.
Roddick defeated Sebastien Grosjean of Spain in the 2003 and 2004 finals.
The 2004 Wimbledon runner-up and former world No. 1 Roddick will meet unseeded Croat Ivo Karlovic in Sunday's final. The 6-foot-10 Karlovic sent sixth-seeded Swede Thomas Johansson packing with a 6-4, 7-6 (9-7) win.
Sunday's winner of this grass-court Wimbledon tune-up will collect $98,810.
