The Cincinnati Reds announced Monday that right-handed pitcher Paul Wilson will have exploratory arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder.
The surgery will be performed by Reds medical director Dr. Timothy Kremcheck
Wilson, who is already on the 15-day disabled list, has struggled this season, sporting a 1-5 record with a 7.77 earned run average in nine starts.
In his last outing on May 16, he was roughed up by the New York Mets, the club he was originally drafted by, yielding six runs on eight hits in 5 1/3 innings.
