Cincinnati Reds reserve infielder Luis Lopez has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, one day after tearing his right hamstring.
Lopez, who is batting .222 with just 27 at-bats this season, left Sunday's game against Atlanta in the fourth inning. He suffered the injury sliding into second base on a double. He will undergo surgery on July 5 and is likely to miss the remainder of the season.
Infielder William Bergolla was recalled from Louisville of the International League to take the vacant roster spot.
