Legendary American Andre Agassi is expected to return to the court and compete in the RCA Championships, which will take place from July 18-24 in Indianapolis.
Agassi, who withdrew from Wimbledon 2005 as he continues to be plagued by a bad back, accepted a wild-card invitation to the RCA Championships, according to The Indianapolis Star.
The eight-time Grand Slam champion lost in the opening round of the French Open earlier this season after he was severely limited by an inflamed sciatic nerve in his back. Agassi has not played since aggravating the injury in Paris.
Agassi, who also skipped last year's major at the All-England Club with another injury, is currently ranked sixth in the world.
The 35-year-old also accepted a wild card to the RCA Championships in 2004, but withdrew prior to the tournament with a hip injury.
Agassi will compete in the event for the first time since 1998 when he was the runner-up.
