Seattle Mariners first baseman Richie Sexson has been suspended for two games and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions during his club's game on June 18 versus the New York Mets.
Sexson was ejected in the first inning of that game by home plate umpire Dale Scott for arguing balls and strikes. He is appealing the suspension, and hit a two-run homer in Seattle's 14-5 win in San Diego on Friday.
Mariners manager Mike Hargrove was also ejected in the June 18 game for arguing with Scott about the same pitch.
