The New York Yankees optioned lefthanded pitcher Sean Henn to Triple-A Columbus and purchased the contract of outfielder Kevin Reese prior to Sunday's 5-4 win over the New York Mets. Reese finished the game 0-for-1 with a walk. To make room for Reese on the 40-man roster, the Yankees transferred pitcher Jaret Wright from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day DL. Henn struggled in three starts for the Yankees this season. The 24-year-old posted an 0-3 record with a lofty 11.12 earned run average. In 73 games this season with the Clippers, Reese is batting .272 with eight home runs, 37 RBI and 51 runs scored. He started for the club in left field in Sunday night's contest while Tony Womack replaced Bernie Williams in center.
